Andes Beer- the leading beer in the Andina Region of Argentina implemented a successful marketing campaign. They applied marketing that provided a business solution to customers’ problems. (This is a perfect example for the topic “Advertising- from Disruption to Invention” I discussed)
The problem identified when men having beers with friends at the bars is their girlfriends. Andes Beer provided a solution that allowed men go to bar and share Andes beer with friends without any more girlfriend problems: a teletransporter. It is a soundproof booth placed at bars and clubs that provides sounds of different ambience, supporting proof of men’s lies.
Not discussing whether this is an ethical marketing or not (by the way, they try to argue: “To lie is a sin, teleport is not”, the campaign was a success, which won Grand Prix for Outdoor, Silver for Direct, and Bronze for Promotion and Activation, at Cannes International Advertising Festival 2010.
