Case study: Easy Lamp Roast- Cute gay ad

“Easy Lamp Roast is so easy, it turns anyone into a mom.”

Such a cute and beautiful message from BMF agency of Sydney! The ad can surely attract audience with its humour and cuteness, while being able to highlight the product’s benefits: convenience.

I am wondering whether these types of ads can support LGBT campaigns. The ads do not create offence because it is so cute, with the big scary Australian guy acting as a gay. Homophobia (gay fear) among Vietnamese society can be removed with such type of ad. What’s wrong with gay? They care people warmly, like a kind-hearted mother. A couple of gay, who takes care of each other kindly like this, would be very cute, wouldn’t they?
